Obituary For Genevieve D. Seide

Genevieve D. Seide was a phenomenal woman, an amazing mother, and role model with an infectious personality; she was loved and respected by everyone she met. On May 23, 2019 at the young age of 46 she passed away peacefully.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York to Claude Seide Sr. and the late Madeleine Pierre. At 14 years old, she moved with her parents and her brothers to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from Dillard High School in 1990 then soon received her Associates degree in Science in Travel and Tourism from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. She was also a certified tax and finance consultant for almost 15 years. Genevieve achieved every endeavor she came across with the most class, style, and grace. In 2018, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and even though it would be the hardest fight she’ll ever come to face, the challenge was tackled head on. She stayed strong, never letting her illness hold her back from anything. Genevieve continued to be a great inspiration to everyone, and was always ready to help any and every one in need.

Genevieve leaves behind her children Sabrina Seide Gordon and Tatiana Seide whom she truly loved and adored, and her son-in-law Darriyn Gordon. She was a spectacular grandmother to her grandsons, Darren and Derrick and she was looking forward to the soon arrival of her twin granddaughters, Sarena and Daphnee Gordon. She cared deeply for her nieces and nephews: Yann, Kiahna, Claude Francois, and Anya Seide and her siblings, Marryo Seide, Claude Seide, Clifford Sajous, Claude-Marcelle Seide, and Laurent Seide. She also leaves behind her aunts and uncles, Dr. Jean Seide, May Seide and family, Marie Seide, Mr. Serge Turnier and family, Mr. Henri Seide, Mikaela Seide and family, Mr. Serge Pinard, Josette Pinard and family, Yanick Dupoux and family, Mr. Fritz Etheart, Micheline Etheart and family, Mr. Lionel Morisset, Jeanine Morisset and family. As well as over 30 cousins,nieces, nephews, friends, and children who she helped raised always keeping in touch treating them as if they were her own.

She was loved and adored by many people who knew her, even people who’ve met her for the first time. Genevieve was a loving and caring person that touched the lives of many. The battle is over, and heaven gained a beautiful angel. She will be missed by all and will continue to live on within us and will never be forgotten.
