Obituary For Mrs. Lillie Gibson

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Lillie Pearl Gibson of 207 E. Pine St., Sylvester, Georgia, who departed this life on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Wilson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the Northside Baptist Church in Sylvester, Georgia, with the Bishop Tremaine Alfred, Presiding and the Bishop Horace Bentley, Sr., delivering the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Mrs. Lillie Pearl Clark Gibson was born on April 7, 1947 in Sylvester, Worth County, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Governor, Sr. and Mamie Williams Clark. Lillie was educated in the Worth County Public School System. She worked as a Dietician at Sylvester Health Care for twenty-five years.

At an early age, she joined Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Worth County, Georgia. At Chapel Hill, Lillie served as a faithful member of the Usher Board.

Later in life, she joined the New Life Ministries Outreach.

Lillie was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. L. G. Gibson, Jr. on July 11, 1965. This union was blessed with five children. Our beloved Gibson Family Matriarch was called home from Labor to Rest on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Wilson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia. Her parents, her sisters, Christina Grant, Naomi Johnson, Hazel Seay, her brothers, Governor Clark, Jr., A. C. Clark, Johnny Lee Clark, and a granddaughter, Tierra Shammece Gibson, have all preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories her outstanding husband of fifty-three years, Mr. L. G. Gibson, Jr.; her beloved sons, Randy Barnard Gibson, Richard Charles Gibson, Terry Lee Gibson, Sr., Lance Gregory (Davious) Gibson; her beloved daughter, Lillie Lashun Gibson (Quincey) Holley; granddaughters, Zontayvia Jiles, Taneisha (Latrese) Gibson, Shunteria Burley, Randesha Gibson, Gilachia Dickerson, Heather Rhodes; Teriuna Gibson; grandsons, Terry Gibson, Jr., Quantavious Holley; seventeen great grandchildren; sisters, Nadine Richardson, Maline Dupree, Frances Proctor, Ada Mae (Charlie) Woodard, Helen Richardson, Eula Clark; a brother, Jimmy Clark; sisters-in-law, Rosa Mae Gibson, Phyllis Clark; brothers-in-law, Peter (Louise) Bentley, Curtis (Flora) Bentley, Rev. J. W. (Lilly) Bentley, Bishop Horace (Patricia) Bentley, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
