Obituary For Mr. King Brown

Williston, SC - Home Going Celebration for Deacon King Samuel Brown, will be conducted on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Thankful Grove Baptist Church, with Reverend Freddie L. Bush and Reverend John Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Simmons Funeral Home of Williston, Inc.

Deacon King Samuel Brown was born on March 14, 1940 in Williston, SC. He was the son of the late Mary Watts Brown and the late George Brown, Jr. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Aiken Regional Medical Center, Aiken, SC.

At an early age Deacon Brown joined the Spring Branch Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. He graduated from Kelly Edward School in Williston, SC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Timothy Brown, George Brown, Curtis Brown, and Joe Brown; two sisters, Bessie L. Brown, and Susie Brown Green.

King leaves to cherish his memory; one brother, Deacon Edward (Margaret) Brown, Sr. of Williston, SC, two sisters, Laura Brown and Ida Brown, both of Aiken, SC; one brother- in- law, Samuel Green of Aiken, SC; one sister-in-law, Mammie Brown of Aiken, SC and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
