Elizabeth "Lizzie" Shropshire Coleman,87, died Friday, June 7, 2019. She was born April 25, 1932 in Heath Springs South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Mabel Whitaker Shropshire.

Lizzie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Cedar Rock Baptist Church. She joined Cedar Creek AME Zion Church after being united in holy matrimony to the late Edroy "Newt" Coleman.

Lizzie was educated in the Lancaster County School System. She retired after many years of service from Springs Industries.

Cherishing her memories are four children, Edward Coleman ( Carolyn), Mary Coleman and Joe C. Coleman all of Lancaster, SC and Janie Brown(James) of Rock Hill, SC; four sisters, Rose Collins of Prince Fredrick, MD; Janie Champion and Daisy Massey of Heath Springs, SC and Adell Watts of Lancaster, SC; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Rock Baptist Church by the Rev. Sheresa Ingram and Rev. George Mingo. Burial will be in the Cedar Creek A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery.

Viewing will be Wednesday at 1:00 until 7:00 p.m at Stewart Funeral Home.
