Obituary For Shamika Butts
Shamika Keomi Butts, 33, of Montgomery, AL formerly of Phenix City, AL passed Wednesday, January 23, 2019 in Montgomery, AL.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. EST, Friday, February 1, 2019 at Franchise Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Raymond Cochran, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 1-8 p.m.
Ms. Butts was born April 30, 1985 in Phenix City, AL to Lovetta Butts and Gary Elias. She was 2003 graduate of Russell County High School; 2007 graduate of Alabama State University and had been employed with the Montgomery County Tag Office.
She confessed her life to Christ at an early age at Franchise Missionary Baptist Church, Dr. Raymond Cochran, Sr., Phenix City, AL, was on Watch Care at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Taurus Fuller, Montgomery, AL and attended both churches faithfully until God called her home.
Survivors include her mother, Lovetta Butts; her father, Garry (Linda) Elias; sister, Jalisa Butts; three brothers, Cortney Butts, Quinton Elias and Darrius Elias; maternal grandparents, Robert L. (Lessie) Butts; paternal grandparents, Johnnie (Lula) Elias and a host of aunts, uncles and relatives.
