Obituary For George Ghant, Sr.
George E. Ghant, Sr. 78, of Phenix City, AL passed on Wednesday, January 16, 2019.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. EST, Monday, January 21, 2019 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jonah Williams, officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 1 - 8 p.m. EST.
Mr. George E. Ghant, Sr. was born March 23, 1940 in Richland, GA to the late Ulysses and Mary Lizzie Radney Ghant. He was employed with Southern Phenix Textiles until retirement with 36 years of service.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted friend of 35 years Leola Jackson; four daughters, Patricia (Willie) Watkins, Sylvia Alexander, Sharon Ghant, and Wendy Ghant; two sons, George (Annie) Ghant, Jr. and Christopher Ghant; two godsons, Lee Roy (Christy) Jackson and Dewayne Jackson; one sister, Ethel Glover; 18 grandchildren; 31 great- grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
