Funeral services for Ms. Freddie Mae Brandenburg, 64, of 1820 St. Matthews Road, Apartment B205 Pecan Grove, Orangeburg, will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Brown Chapel AME Church, 195 Browns Chapel Rd, Elloree, SC, with interment to follow in Belleville Memorial Gardens. Reverend Harold Wilson is officiating. Ms. Brandenburg will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

On Sunday morning, June 16,2019, the sweetest and most caring woman pranced over the threshold of death and into the loving arms of Our Father. Ms. Freddie is finally at peace with God and she is rejoicing without pain and worries. She will forever be remembered by everyone who held a conversation with her as a pleasant spirit who left each and every person with the words “I Love You”.

Ms. Freddie was born on September 8,1954 to her late parents Mr. Freddie Eddie Brandenburg, Sr. and Mrs. Rosa Bell (Robin) Brandenburg. She was also preceded in death by her brothers James Franklin, Lewis Thaddeus Brandenburg and Freddie Eddie Brandenburg, Jr.

Ms. Freddie attended St. Paul Baptist Church as a child. Later, as an adult, she became a member of Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church where she was a member of the Angelic Choir, Harold O. Wilson Choir, Junior Steward, Pastor Aide and the Missionary Committee.

Ms. Freddie graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. She was employed at the Regional Medical Center (Orangeburg, S.C.) for several years, as a Dietary Aide, until her health began to decline.

Ms. Freddie will truly be missed by her only child, Falencia A. Brandenburg, whom she loved beyond life itself and her two granddaughters who brought happiness and purpose to her soul, Talia T. Brandenburg and Maeghan M. Brandenburg of Orangeburg, S.C.; two sisters Carrie Mae Franklin (Orangeburg, S.C.) and Maeshell L. Brandenburg (Orangeburg, S.C.); one brother, Richard Gregory Brandenburg (Orangeburg, SC); three uncles: Joseph (Betty) Brandenburg, Samuel (Lois) Johnson (Orangeburg, S.C.) and Ivory Clay Hooks (Syracuse, N.Y.); aunts: Pearline Brandenburg (Orangeburg, S.C.), Beverly (Vincent) Pendarvis who spent numerous hours with her and assisted with her care and also a lifelong family friend whom she considered as an aunt Fannie Baxter (Orangeburg, S.C). Ms. Freddie had two nephews specifically, Derek Brandenburg (Atlanta G.A.) whom she loved as a son and helped to raise and also Olujiwan R. Robinson (Orangeburg, S.C.) whom she cared for and loved immensely; two very dear friends, who were more like her sisters: Mrs. Louella Cleckley and Ms. Anna Walley. Ms. Freddie also had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends and acquaintances.

Ms. Brandenburg passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at her residence.
