The relatives and friends of Evangelist Maybell D. Sumter and those of her beloved husband, the late Rev. James Clarence Sumter; her loving children, Pastor Gloria S. (Bro. Bobby) Brown, Apostle Doris (Elder Blanton) Johnson, Minister Arlene Sumter, Sis. Adrian (Bro. John) Dingle, Minister Ettamae (Bro. Joseph) Powell and Sis. Megan Drayton; her siblings, Mazalene Keeton, Deaconess Louise (Deacon Leon) Grant, Minister Julia (Deacon Willie) Gibbs, the late Wilhelmenia Drayton and the late Ezekiel Drayton; a host of grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews, and cousins are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service, Friday, February 2, 2018, 11AM, Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 670 Bear Swamp Road, John's Island (Red Top Section), SC. Interment: Red Top Community Cemetery. Evangelist Sumter will lie in state at the church from 10AM until the hour of service. No Wake. Viewing will be held this evening (Thursday) from 3PM until 7PM at Walker's Mortuary Chapel.
