Obituary For Elder Peter Riley

"I have a few more, Tears to shed. I have a few more, Burdens to bear. I have a few more, Times to give up the right. For the wrong, But I'm gonna keep on. Pressing on the word, Till my battle is fought. My victory is won, But if u make it in Glory Before I do, Save a seat for me"

It is with deep sadness that we stand with the loving Riley and connected family members to announce the earthly transition of one God's chosen vessels:

Please accept my expression of sympathy in the loss of your dear love one. May the God of all comfort provide you with strength in this most difficult time (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). God promises that soon He will remove all causes of pain, suffering, and death (Revelation 21:3,4). We know that Almighty Jehovah God has not only the power but also yearns to fulfill this promise. Until that time, may you find comfort in this promise and treasure the memories you shared.

I want to offer my condolences to the family and friends. It is a painful thing to lose a love one in death. Even Jesus, when on earth, wept over the loss of a love one (John 11:33,35,38). Allow Our Heavenly Father to comfort you through the Scriptures__ 2 Corinthians 1: 3,4 “Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God” It is comforting to know that He calls death an enemy and promised to remove it forever__ “The last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing” (1 Corinthians 15:26). He also promised to undo the effect of death by waking up all our love ones in the memorial tombs__ Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live...the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." I hope these words give all of you comfort.
