Obituary For Mr. Jerry Davis

Because the Lord is my shepherd, I have everything I need. He lets me rest in the meadows grass, And He leads me besides the quiet stream. He restores my failing hands, And helps me to do what honors him the most. That's why I'm safe Safe in His arms....

The arms of our Lord now surround this loving Davis Family as they say a loving farewell to their beloved:

Mr. Jerry Davis, 70 of Fort Lauderdale, FL passed away from this life on Wednesday, June 26th, 2019. Jerry was born on March 2nd, 1949 to the late Erma Lee Davis and James P. Morrison. Jerry attended school in the Broward County School District and was employed by various employers in which South Florida Granite was his favorite.

Jerry was married to Beulah M. Scott on October 23rd, 1975 and to their union was born 2 daughters, Kimberly DavisMoore (Joe) and Latonya Michelle Davis, of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He also has 1 son Jerry Davis, of Fort Lauderdale, four grandkids Shakayla M. Davis, Michael Jones, Justin and Bryan McDonald and 1 Great-grand.

He was preceded in death by his beloved sisters Cecelia Finniessee and Lillie Jean Porter, aunts Lizzie Mae Jackson and Gertha Johnson, great-aunts Mattie Prescott and his one of a kind Aunt Pearlie Mae Wells whom loved him dearly and prayed sincerely, oh how he loved Aunt Pearlie Mae. Eldest living great-aunt Lillie Montgomery, of Valdosta, GA.

He also leaves to cherish his memories five sisters, Gertha Moreland Stokes (Garfield), Gloria Thomas of Valdosta, GA and Marion, Annie Ruth and Gwen. Eight brothers, Calvin Davis, of Winter Haven, FL, Michael Thomas of Jacksonville, FL, Henry Austin (Stephanie), Walter Lee Thomas (Charlie Mae) all of Valdosta, GA, Eddie Morrison, Robert Morrison, Johnny Morrison, Jimmy Morrison. A dear friend Mr. Flowers of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Also, a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Life Celebration Services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 11am, from The Ralph Harrington Memorial Chapel - 713 Lake Park Road, Valdosta Georgia. Evangelist Gloria Thomas, Officiating - Internment will follow in the Pallbearers Cemetery.

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one . I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done . I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the way of happy times, laughing times ,and bright and sunny days I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun , of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

Uncle Jerry, only saw you 3 times in my life. I remember when I was a little girl and grandma stay in Clark Ally, and you left and went back to Florida you gave me and Tyrone ( money) 2 dollars a kiss on the four head and a huge. And the 3 times we have shared, was laughter, happiness, and the story you told me and Money about when you was a little boy. The last time I saw you was at grandma funeral. You and your baby girl Kim kept me laughing we enjoyed and had a great time together. Love you baby. Rest in paradise. Kim, Tonya, Auntie, to the family I love you all. Keep y’all head up.
