Funeral service for Marcus Preston, 43, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2019, at Saint James Missionary Baptist Church, 1335 Auburn Street, Opelika, AL 36801with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Reverend L.W. Booker, Pastor, Reverend Robert Preston, Eulogist.

Mr. Preston, who passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 at his home in Opelika, Alabama, was born November 11, 1975 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Thursday, June 27, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Mr. Preston will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include: his mother, Mona Preston of Opelika, AL; five sisters, April Preston, Felicia (Chester) Knight both of Opelika, AL, Tanasha Crowder of Phenix City, AL, Marquita (Cemal) Parnell of Warner Robins, GA and LaKeria Crowder of Opelika, AL; one brother, Cory Preston of Opelika, AL; four uncles, Kenneth (Robin) Crowder, Sr. of Opelika, AL, Rev. Robert (Diane) Preston of Auburn, AL, J.D. (Michelle) Carr, Jr. of Virginia and Henry Carr of Opelika, AL; five aunts, Cathy Newkirk, Debbie Preston, Janice Allen, Loretta Crowder (Lester) and Joyce Crowder all of Opelika, AL; four nephews, Collen Anderson, RaQuavious Crowder, Miketavious Crowder and Tyquan Nelms; one niece, Ambrea Jones; best friend, Kenny Maddox of Opelika, AL; a host of other relatives and friends.
