Obituary For Dorothy "Doll" Sharkey

Dorothy “Doll” Sharkey, 57, of Blytheville passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born August 30, 1961 in Osceola, Arkansas to Lydia Wright, Jr. and Joann Stone Wright. She was a faithful member of Pentecostal Power of Everlasting Truth under the leadership of Bishop Johnson Stone where she served as a Drummer, Missionary, and Usher.

“Doll” leaves to forever cherish her memories her husband, Joe Sharkey, Jr of the home, her parents, Lydia Wright, Jr. of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and JoAnn Peoples of Blytheville, Arkansas; one daughter, JoAnn (LaTorrance) Aldridge of Blytheville, Arkansas; one son, Joe Sharkey, III of Blytheville, Arkansas; five sisters, Lisa Wright of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Pamela Smith of Blytheville, Arkansas, Marjorie Rogers of Blytheville, Arkansas; Yvette (Joseph) Chapman of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Arnetra Brown of Blytheville, Arkansas; four brothers; Henry (Freedia) Peoples of Blytheville, Arkansas; Lonnie (Zaccarra) Wight of Killeen, Texas; Percy (Betty) Wright of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Jay (Amber) Lewis of Kennett, Missouri; one step-daughter, Mary Witherspoon of Little Rock, Arkansas, three step-sons, Larry Hodges of Blytheville, Arkansas; Jeronun Moore and Joseph Coleman both of West Memphis, Arkansas, four grandchildren, fifteen step grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00 am until service time at noon at Eternal Salvation Pentecostal Church, 1914 West Cherry Street, Blytheville, Arkansas. Bishop John Mayberry is the pastor.

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon. Bishop Johnson Stone will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette. Arkansas.
