Obituary For Larry Miller

For sixty nine years, God graced us with the presence of a kind soul to enliven and enrich our lives. During the time shared with him he was a caring father, son, brother, and friend. He touched the lives of many through his vocations as a warehouseman, heavy equipment operator, and independent contractor. Larry was born the son of Calvin and Geraldine Miller on January 29, 1950 in Senatobia, Mississippi. He moved with his family to Memphis, Tennessee in 1952. He was a graduate of Melrose High School where he also played in the band. He also attended Christian Brothers University after high school. Larry was a veteran who served in the US Navy aboard the USS FDR during the Vietnam War. He also received the National Defense Service Medal. Prior to his departure from this earthly realm he parented three children: Sharon Miller, Lawrence Miller, and Raphael Miller. Left to treasure precious memories of his life are his beloved mother, Geraldine E. Miller; one brother, Calvin E. Miller Jr.; one sister, Sharon D. Miller; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The journey had ended. He has travelled the road leading through the morning of childhood, the noon of adulthood, and finally the evening of life.

Graveside services will take place on Wednesday July 3, 2019, 1:15PM at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. The interment will follow.

Guest Book

I am so sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. I would like to extend my condolences to the family during their time of grief. Revelation 21:4 is so comforting and gives us hope, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.+ The former things have passed away.”

We're so sorry to hear you lost a dear loved one. It is very comforting to read the Bible in these difficult moments. I personally like Psalms 9:9 which reads: “Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress.” Our loving God cares about us and is ready to bring us comfort if we allow him (1John 5:14). Jehovah our God also has made the provision of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored into a beautiful paradise (Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55:11). Close your eyes and imagine yourself welcoming back to life your dear loved one? Find out more about this resurrection online at jw.org~ R&R Lopez
