Obituary For Deacon Stacey L. Bryant

Dea. Stacey L. Bryant of Marianna, Florida entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 1, 2019 in Jackson Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was 54 years old. A native and resident of Jackson County, he was of the Baptist faith and a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he was Chairman of the Deacon Board. He was very instrumental in facilitating the upkeep and growth of the church. Stacey believed that if you saw a need, you filled the void without broadcasting and boasting. He graduated from Marianna High School in 1982, and received his formal eduction from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He obtained a position at Dozier School for Boys, culminating his work career with a 28-year tenure as a Correctional Officer at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Marianna, Florida. A lifetime of love and precious memories will forever remain with his devoted daughter, Sarita B. Bryant of Marianns, Florida; a loving sister, Lori E. Bryant of Marianna, Florida; an uncle, Willie C. Bryant, Sr. of Marianna, Florida; three aunts, Thelma Terry and husband Alex of Manson, North Carolina, Margaret Bryant and Delores Williams both of Marianna, Florida; a special friend, Eva Brown of Greenwood, Florida; a devoted cousin, Willie C, Bryant, Jr. of Panama City, Florida; brothers at heart, Michael Thornton, Darrell Forward both of Marianna, Florida and Reginald Warren of Augusta, Georgia; and a plethora of devoted cousins and friends. Family will receive friends at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 5th from 2:30-5:00p.m. A Service of Love to celebrate Stacey’s life will be held Saturday, July 6th, at 11a.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Darrell Johnson, Sr., Rev. Henry Forward, Rev. Thomas Forward, and Rev. Christopher Felton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
