Obituary For Mary JoAnne Brown Allgood

MRS. MARY JOANNE BROWN ALLGOOD- Age 76, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at a local health care. She was born on January 14, 1943 to the late Samuel Brown and Mary Marie Latimer Brown Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Eugene Allgood. For many years she was employed at the Walker County Library for fifteen years, and South Walker Head Start for thirty years. She attended New Home Baptist Church and Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors are her daughter, Juquia Allgood; son, Samuel Latimer Allgood; grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Wilkey, Jillian Gilbert; great grandchildren, Jordan, Xaivian, John Wilkey, III, Jayla; sisters, Joyce Allgood, Jeanette (Marvin) Hinton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 P. M. with Rev. Brent Marsh officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service. Interment will be on Monday at 11:00 A. M. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
