Ms. Mildred Louise Daniels

Mildred Louise Daniels of Orangeburg, SC, daughter of the late I.J. Pruitt Daniels (Plunk) and Corrie Felder Daniels was called by Jehovah our Lord and Savior from labor to rest on Thursday, July 4, 2019 in Simpsonville, SC. She transitioned peacefully with her three sons and her family at her bedside.
Mildred attended Jenkins School (Bowman, SC), Rosenwald/Bethune Memorial High School, Cordova School and graduated from Wilkinson High School (Orangeburg, SC). She was also a 1979 graduate of Mercy College (Dobbs Ferry, NY) with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She served in the 1909 Communication Squadron of the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged.
She had fulfilling careers as an Administrative Assistant for Hartford Insurance and as a Sales Associate at Macy's Department Store both in New York City, NY; Department of Transportation for the US Coast Guard on Governor's Island, NY; Office of Thrift Supervision in Washington, D.C.; Small Business Administration at the University of Maryland; Senior Financial Analyst and as a Director of Grants and Contracts at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, I.J. Pruitt Daniels and Corrie Felder Daniels; a brother, Ronald Daniels; a sister, Lillian Daniels-Haynes; and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Daniels.
She is survived by her three loving and devoted sons, Antoine B. Daniels, Sr. of Orangeburg, SC, Dante (Andrea) Daniels of Simpsonville, SC and Jonathan Daniels of San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren, Antoine, Jr., Dontavius and Dante' Mildred Daniels; a sister, Edith Daniels-Gillard; five brothers, John "Billy" (Patty) Daniels of West NY, NJ, Edgar Daniels of Mt. Vernon, NY, Isaac (Debbie) Daniels of Bronx, NY, , Thomas Jeffery (Sharon) Daniels and Jacob (Gayle) Mack both of Orangeburg, SC; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and special friends.
