Obituary For Sharon E. Jackson

A Time to be Born On April 8, 1949, in Ft. Pierce, Florida, Sharon Elaine Jackson was born to the late Thomas and Bertha Jackson. She and her two siblings were nurtured and developed by their Christian parents in Indian River County. Sharon attended and graduated from Gifford High School in 1967. She attended a Business College in Orlando, FL and re- turned home to attend Indian River Community College and received an Associate of Arts Degree.

A Time to Labor Sharon served as Secretary for the Economic Opportunity Council for many years here in Indian River County. She relocated to Dade County, Miami, FL where she served as a Pharmaceutical Assistant for the V A Hospital for more than twenty year. Of all the laboring she did the first and foremost was that of returning home to care for her parents.

A Time to Reflect Ms. Sharon Jackson was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church. She served as a Young Matron under the pastorate of Rev. Ronald Wright. She served as a behind the scene member of the Willing Workers. Sharon was an exceptional cook. Her specialty was that of making cakes. Where ever help was needed you could always depend on Sharon.

A Time to Die On Monday, July 15, 2019, Sharon Elaine Jackson departed this life at (DaVita) Indian River Dialysis Center. She was pre-ceded in death by: her parents, Thomas and Bertha Jackson; sister, Mildred Young; and a great grand nephew, Aaron Javan Lampkin.

A Time to Mourn Left to cherish fond memories are: a loving sister, Barbara (Donald) Johnson of Decatur, GA; two nephews, Ivan (Janice) Lampkin and Torrence Mack; five great nieces and nephews, Tiandria Wright, Jaden Lampkin, Sydney Lampkin, Torrence Mack, Jr., and Ty Mack; one uncle, Eddie Butts (Enid) of Tampa, FL; and two aunts, Shirley Butts and Pearl Jackson. Special sister and brothers: Katherine Moore, Marvett Gipson, Marvin Butts, and a host of special cousins, and sorrowing friends.

A Visitation will be held Friday, July 19, 2019 from 5 - 7 p.m. at St. Peter's Missionary Baptist Church. A Funeral Service will also be held at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Peter's M.B Church.
