Obituary For Mr. Gregory Stanley Rutledge

Good Bye For Now: 2 Thessalonians 4:14 “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep (Die) In Jesus will God bring with Him.

Mr. Gregory Stanley Rutledge was born September 16, 1952 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy D. Rutledge, in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He was affectionately called “Greg” by those who knew him best. Gregory received his education in Dekalb County School District and he graduated from Gordon High School.

Gregory was a self-employed diesel mechanic. He was passionate about and loved working on and fixing cars or anything that had a motor. Gregory loved to fish, bowling and spent time with family and friends

On Wednesday July 17, 2019, Gregory transitioned from the labor of this life to life eternal doing what he loved doing working on trucks.

He leaves loving and cherished memories a daughter, April Wilkinson (Rodney), six sisters and one brother, Theresa Morton, Samuel Rutledge, Antoinette McCoy, Yvonne Jinks, Gracie Cooper (Hank), Cynthia Alexander (James), and Evangelist Francina Rutledge; two granddaughters, Shaneka Birdsong and Alexis Gray; two Great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends

Celebration of Life will be Friday, July 26, 2019 11:00am at New Bethel Outreach Ministries 3283 Columbia Woods Drive Decatur, GA 30032. Visitation will be Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Grissom-Clark Eastlake Chapel 1:00pm-5:00pm. www.grissom-clarkfh.com. 404-373-3191.
