Emma graduated from high school in Tampa, FL and received her cosmetology degree. She was employed and retired from Florida State Hospital with over 30 years of service. Her warmth and unconditional love was shared with many and she lived the adage "It takes a village".
A Celebration of Life for Emma will be held in the sanctuary of the Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church in Marianna, FL located at 3695 Popular Springs Road, Marianna, FL. on Saturday July 27, 2019 at 11:00 am cst. with Rev. Dwight Cockerham, Sr. pastor, Rev. John David Williams, Ministers David and Bethany Jennings and Rev. Roy Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Nubbin Ridge Cemetery in Greenwood, FL with the caring staff of Peoples Funeral Home in Marianna, FL directing. Viewing will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church.
She leaves to cherish her fond and wonderful memories: son Drexie Jennings of Copperas Cove, TX, daughters, Debra Jennings of DC Metro Area and Beverly Jennings of Skillman, NJ, daughter in law, Hazel Jennings of North Carolina, her sister's daughter/niece, Regina Madison of Tulsa, OK, grand children; Dayyan Jennings of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Anisa "Desiree" Jennings (Cantwell Carson) of Pittsburg, PA, Jasmin Joi Jennings of Atlanta, GA, Sharlette, Conrad and Kent Jennings all of Copperas Cove, TX, and David Jennings (Beth) of Silsbee, TX; Andres (Kailyn) Ringer of Orlando, FL, J. Tremayne of Jacksonville, FL and Teri Carter of Dothan, AL, great grandchildren, Lula and Brisana Carson of Pittsburgh, PA, A.J. and Nevaeh Ringer of Orlando, FL, Bria Hollinger of Orlando, FL, and Jasmine Perry of Atlanta, GA, Terry J. Burnatte of Jacksonville, FL and Deontrae Bonam of Atlanta, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Some of the people in Emma's life whose relationships she treasured include: Ann Harris, Vanessa Sims, Melvin Sims, Larry Ringer, Patricia Hill, and Paige (Pete) Kimbell.
The family gives a special thank you to Hazel Jennings and Mrs. Olivia Clark, VITAS staff, Baptist Hospital Staff, Peoples Funeral Home staff, family, friends, and others who have reached out to extend their condolences and support.
