SPARTANBURG, SC – Elizabeth Ida Greer, 87, peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 30, 2019. Mrs. Greer was the daughter of the late Robert and Lillie Marie Simpson.

Mrs. Greer retired as a Healthcare Service Provider.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her children, James "Butch" Greer (Diane) of Spartanburg, SC, Linda Sims (Leroy) of Duncan, SC, Brenda Greer of Spartanburg, SC and Alethea Dendy of Spartanburg, SC; her brothers, Alvin Simpson, Sr. (Carolyn), Wilson Simpson of Spartanburg, SC, her sister, Mrs. Myrtle Hawkins of Philadelphia, PA, eight grandchildren, thirteen greatgrandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and dear friends.

On Thursday August 8, 2019, Mrs.Greer will lie in state at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 12:30 p.m. at the church.

A Celebration of the life of Elizabeth Ida Greer will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church at 12:30 p.m. The Reverend Doctor M. Keith McDaniel, Sr. will officiate.

Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Gardens.
