OPELOUSAS- Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Joseph “Joe” Moore, 68, who entered eternal rest on Friday, July 26, 2019 at his residence in Church Point, LA. Interment will be in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Cemetery #2 in Church Point, LA. Mr. Moore leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, Josette Mouton of Rayne, LA; two brothers, Clyde and Elvin Moore, both of Church Point, LA; four sisters, Janice Citizen and Celestin Stoot, both of Crosby, TX, Lisa (Donald) Jacobs of Baytown, TX and Elizabeth (Lonnie) Robertson of Church Point, LA; and a host of relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by: his parents, George and Mary C. Moore; two brothers, Michael and Clarence Moore; two sisters, Mary Boast and Rose Chevis; one niece, Felicia Jenkins; and one nephew, Jonathan Moore Citizen. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
