Funeral Services for John Fitzgerald Appleton, 37 of Decatur, GA formerly of Shaw, MS will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Mt. Zion MB Church, direction of Johnson and Scott Mortuary, Cleveland, MS. He died Friday, June 21, 2019 at his home in Decatur, GA.

He leaves to cherish his memories:

Wife: Allison Appleton of Decatur, GA

3 daughters: Timbrianna Gardner of Indianola, MS; Shakeya Robinson of Mound Bayou, MS; Joniyah Dedeaux of Decatur, GA

5 sons: Khalid Ellington of Clarskdale, MS; John Jr., Johnarius, Joha'shi, Joh'sai all of Decatur, GA; 2 grandchildren

Mother: Sylva Arrington of Shaw, MS; 2 sisters Bobbie Coleman and Antionette Jones of Shaw, MS; two brothers: Uhon Appleton of Biloxi, MS and Terrell Appleton of Shaw, MS and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 5, 2019 from 2-4pm with family hour from 4-6pm at Johnson and Scott Mortuary.

Rev. Lonnie Gunn will officiate.
