Obituary For Sherry Lee Cooper

MS. SHERRY LEE COOPER - Age 59, of Hixson, Tennessee passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019. She was born on April 24, 1960. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and a Veteran of the United States Army Reserves. She was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Cooper, grandmother, Georgia Miller, stepfather, Ollie B. Harris.

Survivors are her loving and devoted son, First Sergeant Chris (Renee) Cooper of Fort Sill, Oklahoma; special friend, Angela Parker of Hixson, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jahred (Dayra) Cooper, Alyssa (Shaun) Sanders, Nicholas Cooper, great grandson, Chris-Matthew Sanders; mother, Helen Louise Harris; sisters, Coretha Yvonnie Weaver of Rocky Face, Georgia; Hope (Frank) Amaral of Dalton, Georgia, Dr. Cassandra Bell of Atlanta, Georgia, Shelena Wilkins of Arizona; brothers, Stanley Harris of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, Julian Bowie, Brent Harris; stepsisters, Shirley (Edward) Hall of Knoxville, Tennessee, Gloria Harris of Dalton; stepbrothers, Ollie Harris, Jr., Anthony Harris, Arthur Harris; aunts, Betty (Tommy Lee) Macon, uncle, James (Pauline) Washington, Sr., of Dalton; nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives, and friends.

Celebration of the Life for Sherry Lee Cooper will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 11:00 A. M. at the Chapel of Willis Funeral Home, 2011 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, with Rev. James Washington, Jr. as Eulogist. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Monday after 11:00 A. M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 - 7:30 P. M. Interment, Hopewell Cemetery.
