I taught Christopher his kindergarten year at Richard G. Wilson Elementary School, Fort Benning, GA. He was a complete joy to have in the classroom. It did not take me long to see that Christopher was extremely intelligent. He was indeed the whole package: highly intelligent, always used good manners, and very well behaved. I knew that Christopher was a young man with a bright future, and I felt lucky to be his teacher. Christopher's mom became my co-worker, and his Dad participated in many of our classroom's Family Projects. These parents went above the call of duty in supporting our their children and Wilson Elementary School. The Rogers Family were close and loving. Even when Christopher moved to AL, he would often visit our school and tell us of all of his many accomplishments. I was always so very proud of this young man. My heart aches for Christopher, his Mom, his Dad, his sister, his family, and his friends. We have lost a bright star here on Earth, but I know that bright star is shining in Heaven.
