Denise Meeks passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the age of 60. She was born in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin to the late parents of Artie and Minnie Rose Shaw. Those left behind to cherish her many memories; her sister, Gale L. Shaw; brother, Gary W. Shaw.; uncles; Carl Jackson and Presley Shaw; nieces, Tamala D. Shaw and Stacey R. Wise; nephews, Fred D. Wise IV, Gary W. Shaw II, Dominique L. Davis and Daja L. Davis cousins and many friends.

Ms. Meeks will lie in state on, Friday, August 23, 2019 from 10 until 5 at the funeral home.

Visitation with family, Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 11:00 until 12:00 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2261 Murfreesboro Pike Nashville, Tennessee 37217, with funeral to follow. Elder Darryl Taliaferro, eulogist. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Franklin, Tennessee
