Henry graduated from Carver High School. He attended North Carolina A&T University and Cecil's Business College. Mr. Littlejohn Served in the United States Air Force.
He was previously employed with Draper Corporation, Hoechst Celanese and McCracken Jr. High School.
Deacon Littlejohn accepted Christ and joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church at an early age where he served as a Deacon for fifty-two years. He also served as Sunday School Superintendent, Trustee, teacher for the Adult Sunday School Class, and sang on the choir prior to becoming a Deacon. Henry taught any class that needed him when he was a Superintendent. Mr. Littlejohn was the Father of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Anita Littlejohn; his four daughters, Ms. Caroln Littlejohn, Ms. Alice Bomar, Mrs, Joyce (Melvin) McCree and Elder Angelia (Perez) Guest; his son, Patrick Greene; his nine grandchildren; his fifteen great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Mrs. Judy (Earle) Hawkins; and a host of relatives and friends.
A Celebration of the Life of Henry Littlejohn, Jr. will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 2911 S. Pine St. Ext., Spartanburg, SC. Pastor James Splawn and Pastor McKinley Miles will officiate. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens, 2310 Cannons Campground Rd., Drayton, SC.
