Obituary For Bernice Davis Furtick

Ms. Bernice Davis Furtick, 87, formally of 1644 Tower Rd, Norlina NC, peacefully departed this life on August 21st, in Raleigh NC.

A native of Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel Sr. and Albertha Brame Davis.

She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Furtick Brown of Raleigh, ( Allen ) one grandson, Sion E. Brown of Raleigh, two sisters, Clementine Hawkins and Novella Yates, both of Norlina, NC. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will take place on Saturday September 7th at 2pm at Coley Springs missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Carson Jones, Pastor.

My sincere condolences to the family, especially Vanessa Furtick Brown. I remember Miss Bernice from the many times that she would visit her daughter at work (Henderson Employment Security Commission) and again at Vanessa and Allen wedding. She always had a smile on her face and was so pleasant. God picked a BEAUTIFUL flower for his Heavenly Garden. What a blessing for her to be in her family's lie for 87 years. May the Lord wrap His arms of support, love and comfort around the family during your time of bereavement.
