Funeral services for Mr. Carl E. Sharperson, 75, of 1120 Wolfe Trail, Orangeburg, will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Simmons Funeral Home Crematory & Chapel, 2868 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, with interment to follow in Heavenly Rest Memorial Park. Reverend Ryan McConnell is officiating.

Mr. Carl Edward “Bubba” Sharperson, the eldest son of the late Lemuel “Boy” Sharperson and Mozelle Hawkins Sharperson was born August 29, 1944 in Orangeburg County.

Carl was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County.

Carl was married to Clay Ella Williams Sharperson, and this union was blessed with two children.

His loving memory will be cherished by his daughters: Shelia Williams of Orangeburg, SC, and Charlene (Dexter) Nimmons of Columbia, SC; five sisters: Flossie Williams of Raleigh, NC, Lillian (Rodney) Bellamy of Brooklyn, NY, Helen Richardson of Orangeburg, SC, Mary Myers of Orangeburg, SC and Katherine Shaperson of Charlotte, NC; two brothers: Samuel (Rhonda) Sharperson of Miami, FL and Erine (Joan) Sharperson of Hollywood, FL; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Betty (Edward) Johnson; two brothers-in-law: Willie Williams and Eugene Williams both of Orangeburg, SC; three special nieces: Stephanie Richardson-Sellers, Tiffany Richardson, and Kamani Ellis all of Orangeburg, SC; and a host of loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held 12:00 noon - 8:00 pm Friday, September 13, 2019.

Friends may call at the residence of his niece, Mrs. Stephanie Richardson-Sellers, 1298 Sheppard Rd, Orangeburg, or Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg.
