Guest Book

From the first time I met him as a child, I knew it was something different about him as opposed to other adults I knew. He had a demeanor that was unmatched. One day over lunch at Picadilly's he told me that I would one day grow to be a preacher. He put a cross around my neck and told me to trust God in every situation. I was sad to learn about the news but thankfully he laid a seed on my heart early and that I continue to life the name of God in ministry. Thank you Bishop Palmer. Palmer and Cornerstone Family, I'm forever praying for you. The Kirk family sends their love.- Jeremy C. Kirk

First, my condolences goes to Bishop Palmer's immediate family, church family, friends and co-laborers in God's vineyard. I know that the Holy Ghost is your Comforter & strength during this time of sorrow. Second, I just want to say THANK YOU SO, SO much Bishop Palmer for helping me publish my liturgical dance book through the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship Conference in 2008, and affording me the opportunity to speak to a class (along with other FG authors) about my book and what it all entails. You were a pleasure to work with. Thank you for your patience, compassion and genuine support. #RIH Sir. #RIH ~ God be with you, Trinia L. Bruley, New Orleans, LA.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Palmer family. Whereas he was a student of the late Rev. H.T. Carstarphen at Stillman College, he organized the first gospel choir at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church. I was the Junior Choir Directress at the time. He was a man of God who I truly admired. He was always smiling, willing to listen to what you had to say and give constructive criticism when needed. His wit was comical. I will miss him dearly especially at our in-service sessions. We love you but God loves you more. With deepest heartfelt sympathy, Mattie Chavers.

Bishop Earnest Palmer and I both attended W.C.Davis Elementary School and graduated from Ullman High School in the Class of 1962. He and I and two others organized our first high school class reunion via conference calls because we all were living out of town. He will truly be missed by all that came in touch with him. Some of the 1962 classmates has formed a luncheon group and each classmate sends their love and condolences to the Palmer Family and the members of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church. My prayers are surrounding the family. Mrs. Ellis Jean Tarver-King Moody, AL

Thinking fondly of Bishop Palmer, with whom I worked on the University of Alabama IRB. Favorite memory was running into him in Selma waiting in line to get closer to Barak Obama before his speech at the 50th anniversary of the march at Edmund Pettus Bridge.

Bishop Palmer was the coolest minister I've ever met. His wit was, as comedians would say, timely. His preaching was straight from the book and brought to you straight! I had a dream about the Bishop before he died whereas I hugged him and told him he has done great work and I appreciated him for that. He was standing tall and gave that huge smile. May The Most High have mercy on your soul and bring peace to the minds of his family and love ones. Amen RIP Bishop Palmer! Deborah Minor

Sincere condolences to and prayers for the Family of Bishop Ernest L. Palmer. I will never forget you for baptizing me in 1968 after giving my life to service and worship of the One True God. Additionally, Demopolis,AL, Eastern Star Baptist Church and the Civil Rights activities you so unselfishly contributed to during the 60's with the Togetherness Incorporated and Youth Togetherness organizations are indeed indebted to your efforts. I have admired you up close, from a distance and will admire you again in the heavenly hereafter. Sincerely, Grady Norman Greene, Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Our Christ -- The Third Cross Congregation -- Stone Mountain, GA

I want to express my deepest sympathies to Bishop Palmer's family. He made a life-long impression on me back in the late 1960s when he was my teacher in Demopolis, AL. Without his assistance, I would not have been able to get into the college of my choice. You made a lasting impression on all those whose lives you touched. Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Bishop, knowing that you will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all of us whose lives you touched. Carl Mullen Austin, TX

Sis. Palmer and Family, First, let me say how much Bishop will be missed. I miss him now, and I know you must miss him more than me. My most favorite memory of Bishop happened at Cornerstone. We had a conversation, and he said, “Lisa, you have the tact of an Amtrak train!” Of course, we argued and laughed. We talked about faith a lot during the last months of his life, and I told him I credit him with teaching me what I know. He modestly laughed. I told him how much I loved him. He said, “I’m proud of you!” Thank you for allowing me to share! I am praying for your strength during this difficult time. Bishop has left a legacy that will last a lifetime!

Bishop Earnest Palmer always had three things for me whenever I saw him: a big smile, words of encouragement, and prayer. He was a great supporter of the FGBCF Music Ministry, and I appreciated his love and concern. He will surely be missed. Elder A. Jeffrey LaValley

Thank you for pouring words of encouragement, hope and determination into my life. Thank you for publishing my first book.
