WILLIE ALBERT MINOR, son of James Albert and Annie Florence Lee Minor, was born March 28, 1956 in Union Level, VA and departed this life suddenly September 17, 2019 in VCU-Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA. At an early age he was baptized at North View Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Park View Senior High School.
Upon graduation Willie moved to Maryland and began working at Spring Hill Lake Apartments as a maintenance engineer in Greenbelt, MD.
In 1982 he moved to Richmond, VA with his brother and sister-in-law and began working as a baker with Weisman Bakery.
Later after declining health, Willie moved back home with his parents. He began working part-time as a maintenance engineer with the Mecklenburg County Senior Citizens until his health failed.
In his spare time Willie enjoyed fishing, taking things apart and may be putting it back together; transporting his nieces to and from school and many others who needed a ride, but got little money. He never knew or used the word NO.
Willie leaves to mourn his three sons- Andre’ (Sandy) Minor, Fredericksburg, VA; Rolando (Crystal) Phillips, Brodnax, VA and Larry Rogers, South Hill, VA. His parents- James A. and Annie Florence Minor of the home; grandchildren- LaCrystal Phillips, Jasmine Phillips, Romaine Phillips, and Raven Revis; great-grandchildren- Kaythyn, Adrianna, and Daphne Minor; two sisters- Annie Ruth Millner, LaCrosse, VA and Betty (William) Dixon, South Hill, VA; three brothers-James (Virginia) Minor, Richmond, VA, Johnnie (Deborah) Minor, Virgilina, VA, and Leon (Carolyn) Minor, Bracey, VA; two aunts- Mae (Darrius) Robinson, LaCrosse, VA and Charlotte Minor, Euclid, Ohio; two uncles- Thomas (Kim) Minor, Lakeland, FL and Charles (Lugenia) Lee, Littleton, NC; special great-nieces, Jailynn and Jordan Jones; devoted friend- Woody Ross, South Hill, VA, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
