Obituary For Bobby Gaskins

The funeral services for the late Mr. Bobby Gaskins, who departed this life on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Navicent Health Center in Macon, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 11:000 a.m. from the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia with the Elder Ulysses Teague officiating. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia.

Mr. Bobby Gaskins was born on February 16, 1955 in Turner County, Georgia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Gaskins, Sr. and Beatrice Woods Gaskins.

Bobby attended schools in the Turner County Public School System, and graduated from high school in 1975. In high school, he played football for the Eureka High Tigers. After high school, Bobby moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and worked in construction for many years. Later in his life, he moved to Savannah, Georgia, and lived there for fifteen years. Bobby decided in 2017 to move back home to Ashburn, where he enjoyed being around his family and friends.

Bobby gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia.

Bobby was called to his Heavenly Home on Friday, September 20, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ruby Dean Trawick, Betty Bronson, and seven brothers, Harrison Gaskins, Clarence Gaskins, Charlie Gaskins, Jr., Frank Gaskins, Robert Gaskins and Donnie Gaskins, and Clifford Gaskins.

Bobby leaves to cherish his memories two sisters, Bernice (Johnny) Billington, Jo Anne (Billy) Jordan; a brother, K. C. Wilkes. He also leaves his long-time companion, LaCretia Young, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
