Obituary For Ethel Green

Ethel Lee Patterson was born December 3, 1938 to Will & Lillie (Lovelace) Patterson. She accepted Christ at Center Church of Christ at an early age. She was educated at Patterson Elementary, Center High School of Kosciusko & completed the nursing program at Mississippi Valley State University.

After completing nursing school, she settled in Vicksburg, MS, where she joined Dave B. Lewis Jr. in Holy Matrimony. To this union 4 children were born. She also became a member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church & was active in the choir.

Later she relocated to Bolton, MS, where she united with Earnest Green and was blessed with a beautiful daughter.

She lovely reared five children, sometimes with help and sometimes alone. She also raised two of her grandchildren, Rodricuse Thompson & Tyteanna Green from infancy to adulthood. She worked her entire adult life as a nurse, where she cared for the most vulnerable of our society.

She leaves to mourn 2 Sons: Eugene (Latina) Lewis & Michael (April) Lewis; 3 Daughters: Brenda (Chris) Sherman, LaTanya (Michael) Hill & Joann Green. 20 grandchildren: 15 great grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren. She leaves 2 brothers: Will Patterson & Lucious Patterson and 3 Sisters: Hellen Quave, Bervia Wiggins & Denova Austin.

Mrs. Ethel Lee Green a 80 yr. old native of MS passed away Wednesday of natural causes in Hinds County.
