Obituary For Fred Griffin, Jr.

July 7, 1949, a son was born in Kosciusko, MS to Fred Sr. and Sarah Katherine Brown Griffin. They named him Fred Jr.

On June 3, 1972 he was married to Sharmane Floore. To this union two children were born. He was kind and devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed being around family and friends. Mr. Griffin was an active member of Silas Grove #2 M.B. Baptist Church where he served until his health declined.

Survivors include his former wife: Sharmane Bush of Philadelphia, MS; son: LeShawn (Valerie) of Preston, MS; daughter: Synetha of Nacogdoches, TX; sister: Nettie (Eddie) Carr, Sr. of Kosciusko, MS; eight grandchildren: Kevin, Jameela, Jamal, Sharmon, Sharmonique, Marquise, Marquez, Ashton & one great grandson Hayden all of Mississippi; four nephews: Andre Jones & Anthony Carr of Kosciusko, MS; Terrell (Shamyra) Jones of Baton Rouge, LA; Eddie (Erica) Carr, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; niece: Iris Carr of Kosciusko, MS and a host of cousins and friends.

Mr. Fred Griffin, Jr. "FOOT" a 70 year old native of Kosciusko, passed away Tuesday 8/27/2019 of natural causes in Attala County.
