CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR

Darius Jamahl Brooks (more affectionately known as "Dee") was born February 17, 1995 to Floyd Brooks and Bunnie Thompson. He departed this earthly life on September 20, 2019.

He was a 2013 Graduate of the J.J. McClain High School, Lexington, Mississippi, where he played on the varsity basketball team. He was a 2017 Graduate of Holmes Community College, Ridgeland, Mississippi, where he received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Networking.

Dee had a passion for computers and electronics. He had developed and mastered a skill to troubleshoot and repair cell phones on an entrepreneur basis. His passion for computers led him to volunteer as an Information Technology intern at the University of Mississippi Medical Center Holmes County, Lexington, Mississippi, where he served as a point of contact for troubleshooting computers and assisting in printer installations.

He is survived by his parents, Floyd Brooks and Bunnie Thompson, Lexington, MS; Brother: Anquone Thompson, Ridgeland, Mississippi; Sisters: Christal Johnson, Lexington, MS, Dominique Williams, Tchula, MS; Shemeka Myers, Frisco, TX; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Mr. Darius J. Brooks passed away Friday 9/20/2019 in Holmes County.

PLACE OF SERVICE: Winters Funeral Home Chapel, Kosciusko, MS

TIME OF SERVICE: Saturday, 9/28/2019 at 11:00 a.m.

INTERMENT: Parkway Cemetery, Kosciusko, MS
