Charles “Robbie” Pennington was born July 27th, 1968 in Danville KY. He was the son of Charles” Bob” Pennington Sr. and Bessie Cowan Pennington.

Robbie accepted Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church in Danville, KY. He later became a member at Greater Liberty Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. He frequently attended Shiloh Baptist Church.

He graduated high school in Danville, KY in 1986 and went on to graduate from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 1990. While at EKU, he pledged Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. in the spring of 1989 (Iota Delta Chapter).

He was employed as a pharmacy tech for many years at Lexington/Fayette Co. Health Dept. that later became Healthfirst Bluegrass.

He was a devoted brother, cousin and friend. Robbie was passionate about music, especially Motown artist with his favorite singer being Diana Ross.

Robbie leaves to cherish his memory a sister, Ruth Pennington of Lexington, KY, Aunts; Vivian Cowan of Lexington, KY, Carolyn (Sonny) Arrington of Bowie, MD, Sarah (Arnold) Coffey of Lexington, KY, Yvonne Pennington of Somerset, KY, (Step Aunt) Anna Margaret Whittington of Panama City, FL. Uncles; George (Callie) Cowan of Chicago, IL, Paul Pennington (Stephanie) of Pittsburgh, PA, (step uncle) John Goggins (Maxine) of Lexington, KY. A host of cousins and friends. A special cousin June Young. Also his beloved English bulldog Callie.
