Robert Lee Wallace was born in Union County, SC on June 21, 1940 to the late Mr. James Wallace and Mrs. Minnie Mae Prysock Wallace. Robert entered into eternal rest on September 29, 2019 after a sudden illness. He was the husband of Mrs. Cora Tanner Wallace for twenty-eight years.

Mr. Wallace joined Wyatts Chapel Baptist Church in Buffalo, SC at an early age.

He attended Sims High School in Union County, SC.

Robert was an Independent Contracting Truck Driver for over fifty years. Mr. Wallace actively recruited and mentored numerous truck drivers. He was a contract driver with Moore Transportation, Inc. in Moore, SC prior to his death.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are: his wife, Mrs. Cora Tanner Wallace; his three sons, Mr. Ricky Sims of Sterling, VA, Timothy (Sharon) Andrews of Lilburn, GA and Mr. Leroy Steward of Columbia, SC; his three daughters, Mrs. Vanessa (Carl) Robinson of Spartanburg, SC, Ms. Karen Fields of Spartanburg, SC and Ms. Anita Steward of Columbia, SC; his five brothers, Mr. Albert (Wanda) Wallace of Pacolet, SC, Mr. Willie James Rice of Union, SC, Mr. Johnny Wallace of Sterling, VA, Mr. Nathaniel (Sybille) of Dallas, TX and Mr. Sean Wallace of Spartanburg, SC; his four sisters, Mrs. Mable (Homer) Walton and Ms. Wilma Wallace both of Boiling Springs, SC, Ms. Bertha Wallace and Mrs. Dorothy (Ernest) Martin both of Spartanburg, SC; his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by: two children, Ms. Patricia Peake and Mr. Jerry Peake; and three brothers, Mr. Ernest Wallace, Mr. Willie James Wallace and Mr. Larry Wallace.

A Celebration of the Life of Robert Lee Wallace will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Rev. Elijah Ray will officiate. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC.
