Obituary For Steven Andrews

Mr. Steven Andrews more affectionately known as “Steve” was born to the late Mrs. Earlean Dubiginon Andrews and the late Mr. Henry James Andrews on February 25, 1958 in Thomaston, Upson County, GA. At an early age he joined the Fellowship Baptist Church.

He attended public school in the Upson County School System. Here he made friends that lasted his lifetime. When he reached manhood he begin working as most men did during his time. Steve later married and was the father of two children. To help support his family he was employed by Federal Paper Board as s forklift driver.

Before Steve’s illness he enjoyed watching sports, especially football and basketball, grilling, socializing with family and friends and making then laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Earnestine Chambless and Marie Beckham. On Tuesday, August 27, 2019, Steve’s warfare with sickness came to an end. The Lord called his name, he answered and went home to rest. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two children, Mrs. Marquita (Rashad) Davis of Griffin, GA and Mr. Juwan Andrews of Bryan TX; two grand-children, Ya’ Shanti Martin and Kywan Davis; three sisters, Mrs. Diane (Rickey) Dennis Ms. Joanne Andrews and Mrs. Brenda Thompson all of Thomaston, GA; three brothers, Mr. Henry James Andrews, Jr. of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Stanley Grissom of Atlanta, GA and Mr. Jerome Grissom of F L; two brothers-in-law, Mr. James Beckham and Mr. Clarence Chambless both of Thomaston, GA; a cousin who was more like a brother, Mr. Thomas Hobbs; and devoted friends, Mr. Kenny Gore, Mr. Danny Smith, Mrs. Marilyn (Gregory) Staten; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends all whom will miss him dearly.
