Charles E. "Charlie" Gumby, 79, of Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Carlisle. He was born in Harrisburg, son of the late William Henry Gumby, Sr. and Anna Elizabeth (Courts) Gumby, a 1958 graduate of the former John Harris High School, a U.S. Air Force and Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Bethel A. M. E. Church.

Charlie leaves to celebrate his life, his brothers, Ronald E. Gumby, Sr. and Elder Dr. John Wesley Gumby, Sr.; his nephew/brother, Richard Lester; his niece/sister, Dr. Anna Elizabeth "Betty" Gumby Krisnappa and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His life will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of his Church, 1721 North 5th Street with viewing 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
