Obituary For Chandra Denise Roberts

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., Westhaven Funeral Home Chapel, 3580 Robinson Street, Jackson, MS 39209 with burial in Autumn Woods Cemetery, 4000 W. Northside Drive, Jackson, MS 39209.

Chandra Denise Roberts was born May 26, 1958 in Shaw, MS. Mr. Willie Earl and Mrs. Irene Roberts. Chandra grew up on the west side of Chicago and attended Chicago Elementary School and graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Chicago, IL. She was a graduating member of the class of 1976. Little did anyone know that Chandra was musically inclined on the piano. Chandra accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of The Faith Center Church in Jackson, MS and was a faithful member until her health declined and hen still attended even when not feeling her best. Chandra passed away peacefully, after battling Stage 4 Colon Cancer, surrounded by her children on Monday, October 7, 2019 at home in Brookhaven, MS. Preceded in death by her parents, brother - Earl Ramone Roberts, grandson - Mylan Dwan Bennett, uncle - James Roberts, maternal grandmother - Margaret Cook, and paternal grandmother - Clara Gully. Leaves to cherish her memories: son, Dwan (Natasha) Roberts; daughter, Dominique (Mykal) Bennett, Sr.; brother, Larry (Linda) Mims; grandchildren, Mykal Jr. and Erin Jade; step grandchildren, Shaniqua, Aireyonna, Aironese and Tykiera; aunts, Betty (William) Jackson, Mary (Arnet) Whorley, Lucinda Donald, Joyce Cole, Aimatha Roberts and Laverne Scott; uncles, William (Mildred) Tubbs and Elbert Cooks III; nieces, Ivy Roberts, Zacara Roberts and Michelle Mims; nephew, Larry Mims II; cousin/sister, Marilyn Roberts; best friend/sister, Marlice (Niecy); a host of cousins, friends and family.
