Obituary For Linda Lindsey

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Linda Lindsey of Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from the Madison Avenue Church of God by Faith in Ashburn, Georgia, with Pastor, Elder Dr. Larry Coffee, Presiding, and Elder Ulysses Teague deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia.

Ms. Linda Joan Lindsey was born on May 30, 1961 in Ashburn, Georgia to the late Mr. George Lindsey and Mrs. Katherine Davis Lindsey.

She was educated in the Turner County Public School System.

Linda gave her life to Christ and joined the Church of God by Faith in Sylvester, Georgia.

Linda was a survivor of Breast Cancer. She was prayer warrior who cherished and adored her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

On Tuesday, October 8, 2019, God whispered to this soldier on the battlefield to “Lay down you sword and shield, and rest. Your work is done.” Her father, her son, Anthony Pierce, Jr., her sister, Laura Cushion, her aunt, Beatrice Henry, and her cousin, Amanda May, all have preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Katherine Lindsey; her children, Demetrius Lofton, Arsenio (Kimberly) Lindsey, Tiffany (Nicholas) Pickett; her grandchildren, Ta’Vorian Lofton, Jesse Glover, Jr., Anthony Williams, Nicole Pickett, Kymorah Carridine; her sisters and brothers, Laura Ann Tukes, Lonnie-Bell (Wayne) Ford, Delores McGill, Irene (Huel) Fields, John Lindsey, Carolyn Martin, Michael (Vanessa) Lindsey, Katherine (Curtis) Murphy, Robert (Betty) Bailey, Oscar (Luradan) Lindsey, George Washington (Linda) Lindsey, Larry Lindsey, Gary Jerome Jackson, Bobby Lindsey, Jackie Lindsey; and a great host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Condolences are being extended to the family. I hope you draw great comfort from the following scriptures. We know when one losses a loved one it is only natural to ask, "Will they live again"? The Bible writer, Job asked the same question please read, Job 14:14-15. The scriptures also assures us that God is eager to resurrect your loved one, who is now sleeping in the grave. 1 Corinthians 15:26 shows that God views death as an enemy.
