Obituary For Mr. Robert Johnson

Mr. Robert Edward Johnson, “Black Flag”, 71, was born on July 4, 1948 in High Point, NC to the late William and Mattie Johnson. His earthly life came to a close on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Health High Point Medical Center. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Leroy Poteat and William (Head) Johnson.

He attended the public schools of High Point, NC and was retired from the City of High Point. He was a member of Living Waters Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his awesome memories his wife, Nanette Johnson; four sons, John Willie (Kathrine) Mitchell, Robert (Michelle) Mitchell, Jeffery J. Johnson and Tiki Mitchell all of High Point, NC; four daughters, Danielle Johnson (Darrick Ingram), Kiesha (Shenelle) Johnson, Tamekea Johnson (William Bryant) and Angie Council all of High Point, NC; one step son, Tommy Holloway of Asheville, NC; four step daughters, Sarie Mitchell of High Point, NC, Kita Banner, Lamica Banner and Angie Holloway all of Asheville NC; twenty-four grandchildren; one step grandson; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Johnson of High Point NC; four sisters, Arlene, Annie Ruth, Josephine and Carlyon Johnson all of High Point, NC; a devoted and special friend and her two sons; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Living Waters Baptist Church, 1300 Brentwood Street. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
