Mr. Charles "Chuck" Cook, Jr.

Martinez, Georgia—Mr. Charles "Chuck" Cook, Jr. entered into rest on September 29, 2019. A Celebration of Life Service will convene at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October, 5, 2019 at Gilbert Lambuth Memorial Chapel, Paine College, 1235 15th Street, Augusta, Georgia. Pastor Kenneth Murray, Presiding and Reverend Augustus Hall, Eulogist. The remains will lie in state from 10:00AM until the hour of service. Funeral procession will leave 228 Stonington Dr, Martinez at 10:15 A.M. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 2700 Deans Bridge Road, August, Georgia.

Chuck was an alumni of Lucy Laney High School and Paine College. He was a deacon at Harmony Baptist Church, and employed by Savannah River Nuclear Solutions for 34 years. He was an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (Epsilon Psi Chapter), the Georgia High School Association and ABOA for softball and basketball. Survivors include his devoted wife of 30 years, Sharon Godbee Cook; his loving and caring mother, Gladys Cook; two sisters, Johnnie Riggins (Frank) and Phillippia Faust; his mother-in-law, Helen Godbee; three sisters-in-law, Gail Godbee White, Pamela Godbee, and Elaine Godbee Lett (Earl ); two Godchildren, Jada Mack and Brandeis White; a very special co-worker and friend, Barbara Isom; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
