Obituary For C.W, Rochester Henderson

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 12:00 noon, Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 6449 W. Northside Drive, Bolton, MS 39041 with burial in Orangehill Church Cemetery, 4080 Cox'Ferry Road, Bolton, MS 39041.

C.W. Rochester Henderson was born on May 5, 1942 in Bolton, MS to Cleophas and Emma Mae Henderson. He was the oldest of six children.

C.W. accepted Christ at an early age and joined Orange Hill M.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend Lamar Robinson where he was an active member. C.W. attended and graduated from Sumner Hill High School in 1962.

On June 27, 1965, C.W. was united in holy matrimony to Katie M. Harvey to this union two children was born; Carl Douglas Henderson and Kasandra Maria Henderson.

In 1966 he and his family moved to California, he joined Greater Mt. Zion M.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend Adams and he started working for General Motors, after fifteen years he was transferred to Shreveport, Louisiana where he continues to work for General Motors and retired after thirty years. In 2000, he and his family moved back to his hometown of Bolton, Mississippi where he continued his working habit for the Mississippi State Hospital for seven years.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Eldridge and Odessa Henderson, sister; Shirley Mason, daughter; Nina Cornelius and nephew; Stanley Mason.

C.W. leaves to cherish his memories to his wife of fifty-four years, Mrs. Katie Henderson of Bolton, MS, his parents, Cleophas and Emma Mae Henderson of Bolton, MS, four daughters; Kasandra M. Henderson of Bolton, MS, Eunice White (Calvin), Pamela Graves of Clinton, MS, Samantha Henderson-Samuel of Los Angeles, CA, two sons, Carl D. Henderson of Los Angeles, CA and Glen Williams (Sandra) of Washington, DC, two sisters, Ruby Anderson (Roy of Indianapolis, IN and Alice Robinson of Atlanta, GA, three brothers, Eldridge Henderson (Yolanda) of Clinton, MS, Robert Henderson (Cecilia) of Indianapolis, IN and Cleophas Henderson, Jr. (Christiana) of Sellersburg, IN, twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and very close friends.
