Mrs. Barbara Exum Gilmore transitioned from this life on Saturday, October 5, 2019. Her funeral will be held 1:00PM on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Woodard Funeral Home Chapel.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years, Walter Mack Gilmore, Jr.; two daughters, Anita and Annette Gilmore; three sisters, Vickie Knight Purington, Elaine Knight Pettaway and Julia Dell Knight.

Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her three daughters, Karen Gilmore Nelson (Johnny) of Greensboro, NC, Gina Gilmore Lipscomb (Eric) of New York, and Monica Exum Cheeks (Levander) of Knightdale, NC; one son, Walter Mack Gilmore III of Greensboro, NC; one brother, Richard T. Knight of Greensboro, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family and friends.
