Obituary For Terry DeWayne Clemons

MR. TERRY DEWAYNE CLEMONS- Age 51, was born February 16, 1968, to the union of Harold Franklin Clemons and Pearl Lee Bailey Clemons. Terry was the second of three children. Terry united with Shady Grove Baptist Church at a young age. He loved the Lord and the way he treated his family and friends was a true testament of how he loved God.

Terry was educated in the Walker County School District, attending Osborn Elementary, Rossville Junior High and Rossville High School. He was an exceptional athelete in football, and sports in general.

Everyone who knew or met Terry, remembers that infectious smile. He was most happiest when he was around family. He was the one that would call you if he hadn’t talked to you in awhile. If you didn’t pick up the phone, no problem...he would show up at your house. He never forgot your address or phone number. Terry told "EVERY" cousin, "You know you're my favorite cousin," and had them believing just that (lol). In his leisure time, he loved to roller skate and play a good game of spades. He had a huge heart when it came to family and friends and encompassed a spirit of pure JOY. He was a pleasure to be around and to be able to call him family/friend was a honor. We will never forget that welcoming smile, the fun times spent and his humble spirit.

Although we were not ready for his untimely departure, Terry's destiny here on earth has been fulfilled. God, in His infinite wisdom, called him home into His loving grace on Thursday, October 17, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold F. Clemons and Pearl Clemons Lewis; his son, Cornealous Dupree; brother, Chris L. Clemons; and his grandparents.

He leaves precious and loving memories with his sons, Andre Clemons and Terry "Taco" Clemons; his future unborn child, Tristian D. Clemons; sisters, Antoinette Dace (Chris) of Houston, Texas and Angela Montgomery (Charles) and April Waller (Clinton), both of Chattanooga, Tennessee; four grandchildren, D'Terris, Ayliah, Baylee and Radlee; significant other, Tricia Marsh and children, Keleicia, Keshawn, Marques and Destiny; aunt, Elizabeth Thompson; uncles, Hansel Bailey, Robert Bailey (Hattie), Casper Bailey (Shirley), Ralph Clemons (Lynn), James Clemons and Jeff Coats (Tracia), Johnny (June) Clemons; special niece, Laquanta "Twinkie" Anderson (Kevin); devoted cousins, Ed Hinton (Paula), who he considered his brother, and Christy "Neat" Wilson (Shawn); God brother, Clifton Morris; God sister, Chervondra Morris; eleven nieces and seven nephews; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, other cousins, family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Friendship Baptist Church, 20 Parrish Circle Chickamauga, GA 30707, with Pastor Clinton Waller, Eulogist, and Pastor Ronald Carson, Officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the church. Interment: Wallaceville Cemetery.
