Obituary For Gloria McNeal

Gloria Jean Stewart McNeal, 65, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 20, 2019. She was born on March 5, 1954 in Lancaster County South Carolina and the daughter of the late Heyward Sr. and Ella Ree Reid Stewart.

Gloria accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Carmel AME Zion Church. After marriage she began attending New Bethel Baptist Church.

Gloria was a 1972 graduate of Lancaster High School. She matriculated through the school system and obtained her associates degree in Business Science at the University of South Carolina- Lancaster.

Gloria began her working her career at Springs Industries. She retired from Springs after many years of service.

Gloria was united in holy matrimony to Joshua Vernell McNeal, Sr. To this union three children were born.

Gloria was preceded in death by her brothers, Willie L. Stewart and Heyward Stewart, Jr.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Joshua V. McNeal of Lancaster, SC; three children, Joshua (Tina) McNeal, Jr. of Rock Hill S.C.; Justin McNeal of Lawrenceville, GA and Jeremy McNeal of Rock Hill, S.C.; three grandchildren, Jamashiun McNeal of Columbia, S.C., Joshua('Third') McNeal III and Decklyn McNeal both of Rock Hill S.C.; five sisters, Lottie Allen, Creola (Lorenzo) Stinson, Mattie Longmire, Lula (Thomas Mungo) and Lillie (Andre) Clyburn; one God child, Tenisha Laney of Fort Mill S.C.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Williford Sowell. Burial will be at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Family will receive friends 5:00 -6:00 pm at Stewart Funeral Home.
