Obituary For Mr. Earnest Victor Young

The book of life was opened for Brother Earnest Victor Young on March 2, 1938 and he departed this journey on Wednesday evening, October 23, 2019 at Singing River Hospital Systems, in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

Earnest was born to the union of the late E.V and Victoria Young in Soso, Mississippi.

Earnest was known for his humor and warm laughter. He was also a man with a lot of different trades. He began a career at Ingalls shipbuilding as a chipper. He changed careers when the opportunity arose and retired from Mississippi Phosphates. He was preceded in death by his parents, E.V and Victoria Young; father-in-law, Sammie Burns; mother-in-law, Annie Terrell; brothers, David Young, James E. Young, Adaniel Young and Michael R. Young; sister, Allie Mae Young Musgrove; and sister-in-law, Barbara Young.

He leaves to cherish his memories a sweet and loving wife Callie Young of forty years, who always stood by his side, two sisters, Margie Young Reed of Ocean Springs, MS and Nadine Young Roberson of Moss Point; four brothers, Ranzy Young, Ozzie Young, Lonnie (Frances) Young and Rev. Ellis Young, all of St. Louis, MS; four sons, Kerry (Josie) Young of Collins, MS, Curtis (Hope) Young of Heidelberg, MS, Maurice (Shantel) Grant of Texas and Steve Young of Pascagoula, MS; four daughters, Linda Young of Heidelberg, MS, Darlene (Larry) Young McMillian of Detroit, MI, Jennifer (Mark) Bolden of Pascagoula, MS, Tawana (Cedrick) Isom of Pascagoula, MS; thirty-one grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, Godson, Clifton King of Pascagoula, MS; Goddaughter, Ebony Bradley of Moss Point, MS; a host of loving nieces and nephews, and six sisters-in-law. He also had three devoted friends, Jack Williams, Evans Bell, and Harry Gary.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 4912 Gautier Street, Moss Point, MS. The viewing will be one hour prior to the services.

Interment will follow the services in Machpelah Cemetery, Machpelah Road, Moss Point, Mississippi.
