Obituary For Edgar Israel Wong

MR. EDGAR ISRAEL WONG- Age 19, - Of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. He is survived by his Father; Walter Wong, Mother; Maria Leticia Cruz, Step Mother; Sandra Wong, Sister; Amy Pacheco, Brothers; Johnathan Wong, Geobanai Wong, Anthony Pacheco, and a Host of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He also attended Dalton State College. His viewing will be Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. His service will be held at Willis Funeral Home in the Chapel on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Ernesto Mendez, Eulogist.

I have known Edgar for about 4 years now. And what I can say about him the short time I have known him is that he is truly a genuine person. We share many memories together but the one memory that I’ll always cherish and remember was the most recent trip we took to Gatlinburg. One night we as well as some other friends gathered together and had deep conversations. Conversation involving girls, school and life in general. He gave me and others great advice, advice I’ll keep in mind forever. He truly will be missed, till then. See you later bro.

Edgar was brilliant beyond his years. I always loved having him in my science classes, but more so enjoyed our conversations about life. He always wanted to know more than what we were discussing in class, so I would save time at the end of class to talk with him. His smile was infectious, and will be profoundly missed in this community. The education field will forever feel the loss of this special soul.
