Betty attended Central High School in Talbotton, GA and graduated with the class of 1974. After graduating, she worked for the Cotton Mill in Manchester, GA. In 1982 she moved to Atlanta, GA where she worked for AAFES for 27 years. She retired in 2009.
Betty loved to cook for the holidays. She loved to travel and read. She loved to spend quality time with her grandchildren. Betty also was a very family oriented person. For all whom knew her, knew she was very hilarious and would keep you laughing.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted daughter: Yoaneena Ferguson (Chris); two grandchildren: Paris Hamilton and Christopher Jamari Jackson; a special friend: Peter Brew; three sisters: Jenny Lue Mitchell of Atlanta, GA; Mary Watson of Manchester, GA; and Geraldine Brandford (Dewey) of Sun City, AZ; three brothers: Willie James Ellison of Atlanta, GA; Johnny Ellison (Doreatha) of Ellenwood, GA and Carlton Ellison of Rome, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives and friends.
