Carolyn "Missy" Robinson Riley Carolyn "Missy" Robinson Riley was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina on September 7, 1951. She was the third child and first daughter of Daniel and Viola "Tooky" Robinson. She was called to rest on Sunday, October 27, 2019.
Missy had a heart for people and devoted her life to helping those she loved and those in need, as she did for 32 years as a social worker with the Department of Social Services in Orangeburg, Columbia, Bamberg and Summerton. Missy held leadership positions in a juvenile detention and domestic abuse centers. After retiring, she built and operated a daycare center, became a traveling Eastern Star member, and enjoyed visiting her grandchildren.
Missy leaves a loving legacy behind: her two sons: Eddie (Carolyn) and Anthony (Lisa) Riley, three daughters: Tawauna (Nuel), Tamika (Chris), and LaTarsha, seventeen grandchildren: Ja'Nae, Kierra, Courtney, Cashmere, Destiny, Caitlyn, Imoni, Caliyah, Dorian, Jayden, Chiyah, Summer, Sariah, Serenity, Sire, Sofia, Soren, and Saige, three great grandchildren: Dianna, DeVaughn, and Deonte Jr., one brother: Jackie "Dink" Robinson, one sister: Diann Robinson; three sisters-in-law: Margaret, Earline and Mary Ann, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, November 1, 2019.
Friends may call at the residence of her sister, Dianne Robinson, 1833 Northwoods Drive, Orangeburg, SC or Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg.
